Meet Hannah
Hannah Maskell has lived in Newbury, Berkshire all of her life. Her first adventure away from home was in 2018, when she headed off to University of Southampton to study Music. Her dream is to compose, conduct and write a musical becoming one of the first successful women to join the likes of Jason Robert Brown, Lin- Manuel Miranda and Andrew Lloyd Webber in the world of Musical Theatre. Despite the disruptions of the pandemic, she graduated in 2021.
Every bone in Hannah’s body is musical and her interest in Musical Theatre, both writing, and performing has been a passion of hers since she was first able to tread the boards. Coming from a family
of musical theatre enthusiasts, it is hardly surprising! For her university dissertation Hannah wrote her first musical called 'It’s Complicated', which she went on to produce and musically direct in her final year.
Hannah is a happy, passionate and enthusiastic person which is embodied in all of her work. She is always keen to break away from the normal conformities, she likes to stamp out her own identity in her work and never takes the easy route. This is all reflected in her music tonight which is captivating, challenging and
innovative.
Hannah is equally as passionate at bringing music to all. She advocates the benefits of music and the arts for people's enjoyment, mental health and well-being. She endeavours to never miss an opportunity to either organise or be a part of some form of community music to gift to people.
